Food production, specifically meat production, is one of the largest contributors to the cause of climate change. All of the costs, such as using farming machinery, fertilizer, transportation, deforestation to make space for grazing land, and the release of waste gasses of the animal, add up to the cause of global warming.

Ways to help

One way that you can do to help reduce the carbon that is being put into the atmosphere is to stop eating red meat. You do not have to completely stop eating meat, but slowly reduce the amount that you consume over time.
